Yet, the ties of existing processes, lack of understanding around the impact of eCommerce, & tedious chains of approval internally can prevent digital teams from making eCommerce-centric decisions promptly to stay ahead of the competition. 

Jamie Clapper (Oatey), Michelle Landesman (HNI Corporation), Carleen Foley Clay (Bayer), & Julie Liu (Ghiradelli) will share their expertise in this session, detailing successes they have had with driving eCommerce advocacy & education internally to ultimately free up the decision-making processes of their digital teams.

Jamie Clapper is an accomplished senior leader in multi-channel marketing & sales with over 17 years of experience in eCommerce, buying, merchandising, & store retail, with a significant emphasis on eCommerce. She has a proven track record of expanding omnichannel footprints for organizations through effective eCommerce strategies that optimize the online shopping experience across multiple business categories, while ROOM 1taining financial & assortment growth. Jamie currently serves as Vice President of eCommerce at Oatey Co., a market-leading plumber manufacturer located in Cleveland.

Based in Northeast Ohio, Jamie holds a bachelor’s degree in Product Development from The Ohio State University. Passionate about supporting women in leadership roles, she is an active member of the Women’s Retail Leadership Circle & Athena Akron.

Michelle is known for her expertise in market research & customer insights, as well as channel management to maximize supply chain capabilities & ROI.

Carleen Foley Clay

Carleen Clay is the US Amazon Team Lead at Bayer Consumer Health, manufacturer of iconic brands like One-A-Day, Claritin, Alka-Seltzer & MiraLAX. She is responsible for the end to end commercial partnership between Bayer & Amazon. Carleen is a dynamic, data driven, results-oriented sales leader passionate about helping legacy CPG brands build  eCommerce identities. One of her proudest accomplishments was being part of the 2022 & 2023 Bayer Sales Team of the Year Award on the Amazon business. In addition, Carleen has experience in trade marketing, traditional brick & mortar sales, & marketplace strategy. Carleen is a “double hawk” with both an undergraduate & MBA in Marketing from Saint Joseph’s University. She lives in Boston, MA with her husband PJ & in her spare time is working to get any golf handicap.
